The site divides two parks, which there is the famous Foundation Cartier, and present two acess: North and South. The concept was to bring people and flow them into the centre of the complex, to cross the way that connect two parks. The cornerstone of this project is the "passage": a tipical element of franch cities composed to a glass gallary. In the entrance hall there are the reception, a meeting and relax room and a service area. Above the entrance there are professor studios and many conference hall. From this structure start the passage that, with its sinuous form and its larger glass roof that illumitates indoor spaces, permit the acess to the other funciones. A parallel volume contains a restaurant in double levels and the hallway. Tird volume contains in aclosed part the auditorium and in the open back side the library in two levels.
L'edificio è situato in un lotto che divide due importanti parchi parigini, in cui risiede anche la Fondazione Cartier. Il lotto ha due accessi: uno a Nord e uno a Sud. L'idea è che l'edificio accolga le persone dalla strada principale e le accompagni al centro del lotto dove si incrocia la passeggiata che collega i due parchi. L'edificio si sviluppa come un tipico elemento francese: il "passage". Nel primo volume si trova la hall di ingresso e, ai piani superiori, delle sale riunioni e uffici dei professori. Nel secondo volume è situato un ristorante a due piani e infine nel terzo volume un auditorium per 300 persone e una biblioteca.
